As reported, Ron DeSantis who is also the Republican nominee of Florida came face to face in the first in the first parley against Democrat Andrew Gillum.
DeSantis indirectly replied about Donald Trump’s conclusion to move the embassy of U.S to Jerusalem. Gillum was completely baffled and asked the moderator Jake Tapper in an amused way to repeat the same. Gillum replied that Donald Trump is a weak person so he gets bullied. Mr. DeSantis is his retainer. He is trying out to be Trump’s pupil everywhere.
After few moments DeSantis was called “stooge” by Gillum who wanted to lay down at the feet of Trump.
DeSantis later on extended his views upon the corruption charges. The FBI investigation was pointed out and DeSantis mentioned that the lobbyist is a good friend of Gillum.
DeSantis was accused by Gillum for making racist comments openly. He mentioned that Gillum would “Monkey-up” the economic success Florida enjoyed under Government Rick Scott. DeSantis pointed out Gillum’s skin color everytime.
The national progressive group supports Gillum and helped him to turn out liberal voter all over the state. Gillum has also the support of black voters who cover up one-third of the Democratic primary electorate of the state.
The debate lasted for approx 60 minutes and was the first face to face collusion between the two. Earlier one of the scheduled debate got cancelled due to the Hurricane Michael. Panhandle which is located near Tallahassee got struck by it on 10th October because of which Gillum was not able to continue his campaign got 10 days.
Both Gillum and DeSantis has not held the state wide office before and they do not have name recognition outside their respective communities.
From Monday early voting will start and Gillum will be appearing with Democratic Sen and former vice president Joe Biden.
