Saturday afternoon the Clemson’s defense stood tall
Finally the fans were able to witness the beat down in the battle of unbeaten teams.
On Saturday afternoon for three quarters the NC State was held scoreless by Clemson No. 3 after which they went on to smash the No. 16 NC State 41-7 who remained undefeated, in front of the jam packed Death Valley crowd. This defeat left the NC State to fall back to 5-1 in total and in the ACC by 2-1 while the Tigers move to 7-0 in total and in the ACC to 4-0.
The tigers have now registered 7 consecutive wins under their belt in the series with fourteen wins out of their last fifteen games.
At the half of the game the Tigers jumped out to a 24-0 lead after which they never bothered to look back. In the school history over a ranked team the 34 point difference tied for 2ndlargest. 38-3 vs. Miami in last year’s ACC title game remains to be the record with 35 points margin.
