Game of Thrones, the epic drama series is finally coming to an end and our hearts just can’t take it. Even though the show is trying it level best not to let anything out before the official release date, we have got to know some things. When is Game of Thrones ending?
The Game of Thrones last episode is going to air on 19 May 2019 on HBO. The eighth season is going to premiere on 14 April 2019 and will go on for six episodes.
The episodes are likely to be for 90 minutes each. But, the duration of the Game of Thrones last episode is still unknown. Previously, the Game of Thrones season 7 finale was around 20 minutes longer than the other episodes of the season.
The longest episode of Game of Thrones
HBO has already confirmed the duration and the dates of the six episodes of Game of Thrones season 8. It also revealed that the last two episodes of the season are going to be 80 minutes long.
But, those are not going to be the longest episodes of the show. It is rumoured that the third episode of season 8 is going to run for 82 minutes. It is probably going to feature the most awaited battle of the show.

Entertainment Weekly’s (EW)reporter,
James Hibberd said, “There were crew members who wore a customized Episode 6 badge. And only they were allowed to be on the set. Some of the scenes were even shot on a closed set.”
Director David Nutter has previously confessed that they did not use papers on the set. This was basically to avoid any leaked scripts. Also the production team of the show made sure that no one had any idea about what was happening.
What do the show runners want?
D.B.Weiss told the EW that they want the people to love it.
He said, “We have spent 11 years into this and it really matters to us. But, we also know there are going to be people who are going to hate the best ending among all possibilities.”
David Benioff and Weiss had already planned the perfect ending to Game of Thrones ever since the beginning.
What does the cast of Game of Thrones feel about it?
Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, claims that it was really satisfying for the cast.
She said, “I don’t know if it will be satisfying for the fans. I think a lot of them will be heartbroken and the others will be over the moon.”
Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, said, “I don’t think anybody wants the show to end. So, nobody is going to be satisfied. But, I’m really proud of it.”
Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen claimed that there are going to be shocking elements in the final season. (A little obvious though)
