Game of Thrones finale season is almost here and with that HBO is working hard on the potential follow up. The director and cast members who will join Naomi Watts for the prequel pilot of the show have been confirmed.
The Cast
According to the sources, Naomi Ackie, Jamie Campbell Bower, Denise Gough, Sheila Atim, Georgie Henley, Toby Regbo, Alex Sharp and Ivanno Jeremiah have been confirmed. However, there is no new character information yet.
S.J. Clarkson will also join the project as the executive producer and pilot director. George R.R. Martin and Jane Goldman are working on the potential series. Goldman will also act as the Show Runner.
James Farrell, Vince Gerardis, Chris Symes, Daniel Zelman and Jim Danger Gray will also act as the co-executive producers on the pilot series.
The Plot and the Name of the Season
The series will be set thousands of years before the events of the original series took place.
And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’s history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.
The show is not given any official title yet, but it will surely not be called “The Long Night”. Everyone is waiting excitedly for what it will be called.
No Dragons
Roughly, the series will be set five thousand years before Game of Thrones took place and in a completely different place. You won’t get to see King’s Landing or Iron Throne. There won’t be any Targaryens and it is just the beginning of the rise of the great empire.
We are hoping that this prequel series of Game of Thrones will be as exciting and unpredictable as the original series itself.
