Winter is officially here. Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 1 aired today – and immediately after the show, the Game of Throne Season 8 Episode 2 promo video aired. The video followed up from the events of the first episode and has hyped us up for the second!

Jaime Lannister has arrived at Winterfell. Interestingly, when Bran Stark meets Samwell Tarly, he says that he is “waiting for an old friend.” This ‘old friend’ was Jaime. Viewers of the show can recall how it was Jaime who pushed Bran off the tower, with the fall crippling him. The promo for GoT Season 8 Episode 2 carries the story forward from here.
Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 Promo: What Happens in the video?
Daenerys and Jaime Lannister finally face off. Alongside her are Sansa Stark, Bran Stark, Tyrion Lannister. Jaime is surrounded by all the allies of the North. Daenerys recalls that when she was a child, her brother told her ‘a bedtime story about the man who killed [her] father’. Now that the two have finally met, it would be interesting to see if Dany decides to punish Jaime in the next GoT episode S8E2.
Up next in the Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2 promo, Daenerys addresses Tyrion Lannister and says that he should never have trusted Cersei. Sansa addresses Daenerys and says that she shouldn’t have trusted her either. Meanwhile, Arya Stark practices with a bow and an arrow along with a morbid dialogue about the faces of death.
Tormund is back in Winterfell and alerts Jon Snow that they don’t have much time before the army of the dead arrives. Snow is informed that the white walkers would be there before the sun comes up the next day. The promo ends with Tyrion looking towards the sky, presumably waiting for the sunrise.
Things to Look Forward to in Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2
Based on the events of the GoT Season 8 Episode 2 promo, it appears that the episode will be very intense. All the characters who have tensions between them but haven’t interacted are going to face off, particularly Jaime Lannister, who faces intense odds.
Lannister has a hit on his head as Bronn has been paid to kill him. He also has tensions with the Bran Stark, the people of Winterfell as well as Daenerys. It will be interesting to see how the story progresses for Jaime on Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 2! Stay tuned.
