Episode 2 will not only be the last episode of GoT before the beginning of the final nerve-wracking war, but it will be the last one to fall within the hour-long average time of the show’s usual episodes. The Great Battle of Winterfell will begin in the third episode of Game of Thrones season 8.
What’s the runtime of Game of Thrones season 8 episode 2?
The first episode titled “Winterfell” had a run time of fifty-four minutes and the second episode will be fifty-eight minutes long. Following those episodes, the final episodes will have a run time of eighty minutes. The third episode will go on for 1 hour and 22 minutes and will be the longest ever episode on the show.
Unfortunately, the titles of the episodes are not revealed yet. The final four episodes of Game of Thrones will be more of a movie with a runtime over 1 hour. These episodes will have more ground to cover as compared to the rest. After watching the trailer of the second episode, it seems that most of the episode’s event will take place in Winterfell. Tensions arise as the army of the Night King are approaching.
Jamie has also arrived at Winterfell as we saw in the first episode. Daenerys Targaryen will accuse Jamie of all the crimes he has committed. Sansa and Dany’s relations won’t grow any friendlier. Meanwhile, Yara Greyjoy proceeds to take back the Iron Islands.
