Game of Thrones season 8 episode 3 was as spectacular as it could be. And, sure there were many heart-wrenching deaths. The scene of Daenerys crying over Jorah’s body while Drogon puts his wings around her is particularly sad.

Nevertheless, now that the battle is over, all we want to know is how many people are alive. And in this post, we are just going to discuss if the dragons and Jon’s direwolf, Ghost is alive or not.
Game of Thrones season 8 episode 3: How many dragons survived the battle?
It was really disappointing to see that the dragons were utterly useless in Game of Thrones season 8 episode 3. Daenerys was riding Drogon and at least managed to save Jon Snow from the wights once.
But, that seemed worthless since Drogon was badly injured by the huge lot of wights that climbed onto him. Plus, his dragonfire could not even blister the Night King. Jon’s dragon, Rhaegal was badly injured in the fight with Viserion. Viserion was probably the only useful dragon, although we did not want that.
But, the good news is that both of them managed to survive GOT S8E3. How do we know that? From the trailer of the upcoming episode which was released by HBO a few hours ago. We can see in the trailer that a green dragon flyies above Daenerys’ ship in the 19th second. And at the 22nd second, Sansa sees two dragons flying across Winterfell.
Is Ghost alive too?
Also, what about Jon Snow’s direwold, Ghost? We saw him running along with the Dothraki in the first half of the battle. In this picture, you can see Ghost standing next to Varys. So, thank the gods that he made it out alive from the epic battle in Game of Thrones season 8 episode 3.
Bigger challenges lie ahead of them in the upcoming episodes. Let’s see if they can make it out alive in the next battle in King’s Landing.
