Game of Thrones Season 8 has been the latest talk of the town, with the last episode featuring The Battle of Winterfell as the second worst episode in the TV show’s history. Fans criticized the last episode for being too dark, shaky cams, quick cuts, and not killing enough character.

Episode 4 titled The Last of the Starks was just aired after it was leaked and Fans are having a mixed opinion on this one as well. Here is the detailed review of Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4.
David and Dan are the new Dumb and Dumber
Since the TV show surpassed the books, Game of Thrones has become a mess writing-wise, David Benioff and Dan Weiss are not contempt showrunners without the Guidance of George RR Martin’s rich literature.
Two Episodes of the show feels entirely different from each other, it feels that they are just moving towards the end without caring for the story progression. The Journey is as important as the Destination, people are calling the creators of the TV show now as Dumb and Dumber.
None of the Writers Own a Dog
Finally, the show makers acknowledged the existence of the direwolf Ghost, only to send him away with Tormund into the North. This was the first episode where Jon Snow directly address Ghost and didn’t even say him goodbye.
It seems that the entire CGI budget is used for the Dragons and rest all animated character are forgotten. None of the Game of Thrones has ever owned a Dog or pet to know how stupid it is to let him go away from you.
Varys was there the whole Time
Game of Thrones makers finally remembered that they have Lord Varys on their show doing nothing. Varys is plotting against Dany.
With so many characters and so less time, it has been hard to juggle between characters and give them equal screen time. But now it looks like Varys will play an important role in the last 2 episodes.
Logic has left the story
Episode 4 was poorly written. With fast travel and stupid strategy moves, there is little logic left. Euron Greyjoy is able to kill a flying dragon while sailing in a ship from behind a mountain with the help of a Scorpion Spear!
While the same fleet of boats, having numerous Scorpion weapons are not able to hit Dany or her Dragon is totally illogical. With Rheagal dead, there is only Drogon left to CGI.
Mad Queen Dany is back
The whole episode focused on how Dany is going to turn into a mad tyrant just like her father. First the argument with Sansa, hastily marching on King’s Landing. Then losing her second last Dragon and finally her trusted advisor and friend, now dead Missandei. The next episodes of Game of Thrones might focus on how Dany becomes the Mad Queen.
Bronn, Greyworm and the visuals were the only good part
With the mess of writing and logic, episode 4 is not as bad as it seems. It had its own moments. From Jaime and Brienne finally having Oath-Sex to Bronn having his Sarcastic talk with Lannister brother. And of course, Greyworm breaking down on seeing his love dying in front of him was brutal.
Game of Thrones Episode 5 might feature a great battle again before the story wraps up in the final Episode. Though poorly written, the episode had solid acting and fresh breathtaking visuals. Stay tuned to Hiptoro for more Game of Thrones updates and other news.
