Game of Thrones Season 8 episode 5 run time
We know that the third episode, ‘The Long Night’ was literally the longest of them all, spanning over 82 minutes. But, Game of Thrones season 8 episode 5 is going to come close to that. HBO had confirmed the runtimes of the episodes a few weeks ago. So, we know that Game of Thrones season 8 episode 5 is going to be 80 minutes long. That’s two minutes shorter than the third episode and 2 minutes longer than the previous episode. But, the question is if those two minutes are going to make a difference. Probably not. But, let’s not forget the importance of two extra minutes if there is a twist taking place in the final moments of an episode.
What happened in the previous episode?
The biggest revelation in the fourth episode was Jaime and Brienne finally getting together. But, it did not end well. Our worst fears came true when Jaime left Winterfell to help Cersei. Daenerys played a clever move by naming Gendry as the Lord of Storm’s End and making him an official Baratheon. But, Dany also realized that she was actually alone among the Northeners. And she also noticed how the people in the North preferred Jon Snow as a king more than her.
Bronn of Blackwater also appeared in the episode to inform Ser Jaime and Tyrion that he has to kill them. But, Tyrion ended up striking a deal with him and offering him something more than what Cersei did. Also, Dany became super adamant about sending her forces immediately towards King’s Landing because she did not want to waste any time. But, what good did that do? Her army got ambushed by Euron Greyjoy and the Golden Company. Half of her ships were destroyed and Rhaegal died. Also, Missandei was taken captive by the enemies.
Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5: What does Emilia Clarke have to say?
The final moments of the episode involved a bit of negotiation. But, Cersei proved herself to be cruel queen when he ordered the Mountain to chop off Missandei’s head. Her final words were ‘Dracarys’. Daenerys’s face was full of rage when the episode reached its freeze point.
Emilia Clarke appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live a few days ago and she said that the upcoming episode is actually bigger. She said that the next episode is going to be insane and completely mental. So, let’s wait for the battle of King’s Landing which might compete with the battle of Winterfell.
