Game of Thrones season 8 fans are still trying to find out the hidden message behind Daenerys Targaryen’s braids. But it got a little more confusing in the premiere episode of the finale season.

When Dany reached Winterfell in Game of Thrones season 8 episode 1, her hair seems to change rather dramatically without any explanation. A fan caught her side-by-side image on Twitter. Have a look at it here!

Initially, Dany was seen featuring hair pulled back into her traditional braided half-up style in GoT season 8 episode 1. This braid is a for every battle victory. She learned this from the Dothraki culture. There was a mention about it in the first season. If you don’t remember, she had an argument about it with Viserys, her brother.
However, when we see Dany in the next shot, her hair is totally different. Her hair were pulled into a braided half-up bun. The regal style reminded us of something that Sansa Stark and Cersei Lannister wore in Game of Thrones first few seasons.
Well, there could be two reasons behind it. The difference in hairstyle could actually signify something or it could be just a mistake as well. Did the switch in Emilia Clarke’s wig a mistake? Was it meant for another episode? This could even be an indication of some Game of Thrones season 8 spoilers. Maybe Dany has some more wars to win.
We will have to wait for some time to see if it actually turns out to be true. The fans have already started making speculations and maybe they will soon find out the meaning of this twist change.
