First seven seasons of Game of Thrones has set the bar so high that anything less than spectacular is not acceptable. Seeing the Night King die so easily was the worst twist on the show so far. Season 8 is not proving to be as satisfying.

As horrifying as the Night King was, the fans were expecting him to survive till the end of Game of Thrones season 8 finale. But killing off the Night King in the third episode itself was a terrible decision. The show is known for killing the favourite characters. That’s what it has continued to do in the season 8 as well.
Game of Thrones season 8 villains: Cersei maybe cruel but not as terrifying as the Night King
Game of Thrones season 8 fans loved the Night King. He was undoubtedly a better villain than Cersei. He didn’t utter a single word during the entire series, the Night King’s supernatural powers and wicked expressions were enough to scare away everyone. Cersei maybe the cruelest women in the King’s Landing, but she does not have the same effect on people.
Bizarre Ending
Everyone was expecting that it would be really difficult to bring him down. But watching Arya kill him so easily wasn’t one would have thought of. Game of Thrones season 8 fans might have been happy to see his end, but they wanted the hustle to go on for a while.
Character Assassination
With a huge fanbase, The Night King’s cruelty has stolen everyone’s hearts. The viewers had others plans in mind for his hand. They feel that the creators did not do justice to his character.
Even though the Night King is dead, the struggle to win the Iron Throne lives on. We just hope that there’s a better Game of Thrones season 8 finale than what the show has turned out so far.
