Game of Thrones season 8 opening credits spoilers
Lord Ned Umber was killed by the Night King in Last Hearth (his home) and his body was pinned to a wall. The body was surrounded by a spiral symbol. Sansa Stark, who is the Lady of Winterfell had asked Umber to go home and prepare his army for the war.
But, his death was hinted during the opening credits of the show, which have been changed this time. In the Game of Thrones season 8 opening credits scene, the main focus was on King’s Landing, Winterfell, and Castle Black. And the Last Hearth had turned to ice in the opening credits. Now, Last hearth is the first spot that the Night King would have encountered if they marched south of the Wall.
So, this might be a trend for the upcoming events of the show. And that could reveal the fates of the characters.
Will Arya Stark be the one to kill the Night King?
On the other hand, fans have speculated that Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) is going to kill the Night King. One of the main reasons is because Arya asked Gendry to make a special weapon for her. She showed the drawing of the weapon to him and one of the components of the weapon was Dragonglass. And why is that important? Because Dragonglass is one of the very few weapons that can destroy the White Walkers. So, she might be getting ready and armed to bring an end to the Night’s King.
