Game of Thrones season 8 finally released last Monday and the fans can’t be any happier. But, in just a matter of six weeks, our favorite series is going to end. And if some spoilers for GoT season 8 are to be believed, so will one of our favourite characters from the show, Tyrion Lannister.

Tyrion’s character development in GoT
No, this is not a spoiler for Game of Thrones season 8. Just a well-researched prediction. In the last seven seasons of GoT, Tyrion has proved to be one of the wittiest, charming and brave characters of the show. He has managed to get his way and not get killed, even after being an imp. He has become a hot favorite character, mostly because of his wit and an exceptional plethora of knowledge. Also, he has strong links to almost every character of the show, starting from Daenerys to Jaime.
And this is why he is not going to survive the final season.
Theory: Why will Tyrion Lannister not survive Game of Thrones season 8?
Tyrion Lannister has had a great character development over the years. He was introduced as a drunkard and womanizer imp. But, we soon realize that he is the most sensible one in his family. Wait, family? I mean, the show. Tyrion was more popular than Daenerys. Of course, he is one of the few good guys in Westeros. But, even we can’t just stick to that. Remember, how he strangled Shae on the bed and killed his father, Tywin on the toilet!
Tyrion pledge of allegiance to Daenerys in Game of Thrones season 5 felt like a powerful combo. Tyrion finally got somebody worthy of his wit and wisdom. But, his negotiation with the slave traders was questionable. Also, he was just a bystander in the execution of the Battle of Goldroad survivors. Plus, do you remember that he didn’t do anything when Jaime was almost killed, except for murmuring what a fool he is.
Reactions to Tyrion’s possible death
Obviously, he cannot be upheld as a completely moral guy. But, then who else is anyway? Tyrion’s death in Game of Thrones season 8 is going to brutal for all of us, but it will be a deserving end to a complex arc.
We can’t even imagine how the fans will react if Tyrion dies. You might be a team Jon or team Daenerys, but that does not mean you love Tyrion any lesser. Also, Peter Dinklage has shared a GoT season 8 spoiler to the Vulture that Tyrion is going to die this season. So, fans should just speculate now on how Tyrion is going to die.
