Game of Thrones season 8 is made up of complex relationships and alliances. Having a twist seems like the sole purpose of these relationships. Nothing is simple or sorted. In this article, we are going to talk about the relationship between Jon Snow and Sansa Stark. Also, this contains spoilers from GoT season 8 episode 1.

Sansa’s reaction to Daenerys in GoT S8E1
In the Game of Thrones season 8 episode 1, when Jon Snow returns to Winterfell and embraces Sansa, it is clear that he is relieved to see her. Sansa’s reaction, on the other hand, is a bit complicated. She closes her eyes when she hugs Jon, which shows that she is pleased to see him too. But, then she opens her eyes in the middle of the hug and glares at Daenerys. What does this mean? Obviously, she has a problem with her.
Now, there can be two possibilities. Either she is protection her long lost brother from the new queen or there is something else at play.
The friction between Dany and Sansa become more highlighted when the plan to survive the Winter is being discussed. Sansa questions as to how they are going to manage the food for thousands of the Dothraki, the Unsullied and two full-grown dragons. It is clear that Sansa does not want Daenerys to be in Winterfell. And she gives Jon multiple reasons as to why she definitely should not be the queen.
Later in Game of Thrones season 8 episode 1, when Sansa and Jon are conversing about having Daenerys as the queen, she asks him an important question. She asks him if he bent the knee to save the North or was it because he loved her. Jon does not answer the question but his reaction says everything. This moment puts Sansa and Jon’s relationship in conflict with Dany and Jon’s relationship. Is Sansa in love with Jon Snow? But, Jon Snow loves Daenerys. But, twists take place all of the time in Game of Thrones. And so, Jon and Sansa might end up together.
Will Jon Snow and Sansa Stark end up together in Game of Thrones season 8?
So, let’s talk about incest relationships in GoT. Sansa and Jon were brought up as half-siblings. But, now they are cousins. Incest relationships might be gross in nature, but clearly not in Westeros. When house Targaryen ruled the seven kingdoms, they used to marry off brothers and sisters, to maintain blood purity. And obviously, who can forget Jaime and Cersei’s incestuous relationship which made Game of Thrones so controversial.
It is no spoiler that Jon Snow would be committing incest either way with Dany or Sansa. If you guys remember, Jon is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. This makes him Sansa’s cousin and not half brother (Lyanna was Sansa’s aunt). And on the other hand, Jon is Dany’s nephew. So, it would not much of rocket science to see Sansa and Jon together.
What will happen to Jon and Daenerys’ relationship?
Jon and Daenerys still haven’t realized that they are related. But, their relationship is surely going to change. According to some Game of Thrones season 8 spoilers and theories, she is probably not going to be happy to proclaim Jon as the King of the seven kingdoms. After all, she did put in a lot of effort and went through hardships to get to where she is now. Also, imagine the awkwardness when they realize that they spent a steamy night together even after being related.
Also, if they manage to defeat the White Walkers, some Game of Thrones season 8 spoilers say that it is still possible that Jon might not go with Daenerys to Westeros. We know that he is loyal to the North and has protected it several times. For all you know, he might not even want the Iron Throne- Jon Snow has never been too greedy about the Iron Throne. All he cares about is defeating the Night King. And so, if he decides to stay back in Winterfell, Sansa would be there with him. And who knows what might happen then.
