Game of thrones season 8 trailer is finally here and fans have lost their cool. The internet has been taken by storm and HBO finally gave us the glimpse that we were waiting for. So, let’s put on our armours and have an in depth analysis of the trailer.
The golden army at the 0:29 second mark of the Game of Thrones season 8 trailer
It was a brief glimpse of a golden armour and blonde hair, which reminds us of Jamie Lannister of season 1. But the sigil of the kraken revealed that it was Euron Greyjoy’s army. They are the Golden Company from Essos. Maybe that is why Cersei is really enjoying her wine with Qyburn by her side. Back in season 7, Cersei had informed Jaime that Euron was going to bring the Golden Company to assist her during the war.
Did Tormund and Beric Dondarrion survive the fall of the Wall?
The last scene of season 7 finale showed the fall of the mighty Wall because of Viserion. But the Game of Thrones season 8 trailer confirmed that they are alive. They are featured in the trailer for a matter of few seconds. They were entering a dark castle with Dondarrion’s flaming sword. Also, they were accompanied by Jon Snow’s brother, Edd.
Who is Bran Stark talking to in the Game of Thrones season 8 trailer?
Bran says that everything you did, brought you home. At that time, Samwell Tarly comes in the frame in the start but then it shifts to Cersei’s smug look. Then it shifts to Dany marching in Winterfell with her army. This was obviously directed towards a Stark or/and Targaryen. This might be the moment where Jon learns about his real identity.
Gendry is back!!
Gendry was introduced back in season 1 when Ned Stark had met him. The Game of Thrones season 8 trailer showed him once again. Gendry was a skilled blacksmith and with the war on the horizon, he sure has a lot of work to do.
Will there be a Jaime- Brienne reunion?
The last time Brienne and Jaime saw each other was when Podrick rowed away with Brienne in Riverrun. Jaime and Brienne nodded at each other and waved. But the Game of Thrones season 8 trailer gave us a hint of Jaime and Brienne meeting again. Maybe in the battlefield. They were both shown battling in the war. And Jaime’s pledge to fight for the living, lives up to his Oathkeeper sword.
Arya in the battlefield
Arya Stark started learning swordsmanship from Syrio Forel back in season 1. Since then she has had a lot of experience. Arya probably got the maximum footage in the Game of Thrones season 8 trailer. She definitely looks badass in the upcoming season. Nevertheless, she is running from someone in the beginning seconds of the Game of Thrones season 8 trailer.
Will Jon Snow ride a dragon?
Fans of the show have been waiting for Jon Snow’s moment of glory. The question is if he will finally ride a dragon as a Targaryen. The dragons have already welcomed him and he has the lineage. The Game of Thrones season 8 trailer shows Jon and Dany approaching close to the dragons. This might mean that he might finally ride the dragon.
