Game of Thrones season 9 is something that we all hope for, even though we know that we are going through the last season. GOT season 8 is currently going on and it had spurred quite the interest and the fan following that it had aimed for. It has proved itself to be one of the biggest shows ever.
And it is obvious that the fans want the show to be longer and continue the story. George R.R.Martin had confessed that he wanted the show to go on for at least 14 seasons. But, the showrunners had some other plans.

But, if we were to consider that possibility, is a Game of Thrones season 9 even possible? So, let’s discuss the possibility of that.
Will there be a Game of Thrones season 9?
Sorry to disappoint you all, but there is no possibility of Game of Thrones season 9. The show is going to end this May. Three episodes are left for the final season to get over. However, there might be a Game of Thrones spin-off after season 8 ends. But, the ideas for the spin-offs depend on how the show is going to end. It will depend on the multiple possibilities with which they can carry on the show.
What can be the GOT spin-off about?
The GOT spin-off might cover anything. It might act as a prequel to the show and show the Long Night, Aegon’s conquest or even Robert’s rebellion which led to the whole thing. If the prequel covers these topics, we surely have a lot of reasons to be excited for. The characters have always spoken in riddles and phrases about whatever happened in the past. With the prequel showing these events, we might be able to join the dots ourselves.
So, let’s hope for a Game of Thrones spin-off which can keep the fans’ hunger alive.
