A sheepdog in Georgia was praised for bravely protecting his flock from eight coyotes who were trying to attack them. In the process, the dog killed all eight of the predators.
A source says that Casper is a sheepdog who works on the farm of John Wierwille in Decatur. And Casper just got into a brutal fight with eight coyotes who were trying to get to his flock. This is a level of dedication that would make even the hardest-working human worker feel bad.
Wierwille said that the battle, which happened on November 4, lasted about 30 minutes and that Casper disappeared after beating his enemies.
Wierwille and his family were worried for two days. They knew Casper was hurt in the battle because they “found pieces of his tail, blood, and other things” while looking for the dog.
Casper made it back home, but he was hurt pretty badly.

His owner told the source:
He was kinda looking at me like, ‘Boss, stop looking at how bad I look, just take care of me.’
In fact, one of Casper’s wounds looked like a coyote had grabbed the dog’s skin and pulled it right off, according to the vets.
Writing an update on his dog on Facebook, Wierwille said:
None of his flock were injured, but he has critical wounds – a severed tail, deep puncture wounds, and two large patches of skin torn away. He has been in an emergency veterinary hospital since.
Because Casper’s injuries were so bad, Wierwille now has to pay more and more money to the vet. The LifeLine Animal Project, an organization that helps animals, has stepped in to help.
The group’s goal is to never have to put healthy dogs down. They do this by raising money to help those who need it.
Now, the LifeLine Animal Project has started a GoFundMe page to help raise the $15,000 needed to pay for Casper’s vet bills. Amazingly, the goal was surpassed thanks to generous donors, and any extra money will be set aside to help save an animal’s life in the near future.
Casper is said to be happy and healthy again.
