Netflix is on a roll of remaking some of the classic animes. And the latest addition to that list is “Ghost In A Shell: SAC_2045 .” Netflix will be bringing it on in 2020.
Kenji Kamiyama, who is the director of the original anime is teaming up with the director of Appleseed, Shinji Aramaki to revive the classic series. The pair is also working on Netflix’s Ultraman movie (due in next year). The pair has also collaborated with Cartoon Network and Crunchyroll to bring in the classic Blade Runner, this time as a series.

However, this will not be a live-action remake. Netflix brought in a live-action remake of Death Note and failed miserably. Not only this, it is also trying its hands on a live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop. But as for Ghost In A Shell, they will be using the 3DCG techniques. Shinji Aramaki has used such technique in Appleseed and will be assisting Kenji and Netflix in the same. A drawing has been released which gives us our first look at Motoko Kunsanagi.
