God of War has been one of the biggest games of 2018. The game has received accolades from critiques for its unique storyline and gameplay. GoW has been a remarkable series. However, it should be noted that this series has been a Sony PlayStation exclusive.

In the latest iteration of God of War, the plotline is centered around the father and son dynamic of Kratos and Atreus. The game begins when Kratos begins the journey to lay the ashes of his lover and mother of Atreus. Before they start the journey they are interrupted by a stranger who starts the fight with Kratos.
It is later revealed that the instigator is Norse God Baldur and son of Odin. We later learn that the witch that helps is actually a goddess from Norse mythology. Freya was lured by Odin for her knowledge and then he exiled her on Midgard or Earth.
Freya the mother of Baldur has protected her son against anything from Midgard except the mistletoe. The story plays out that due to this protection he does not feel anything and want to die from the hands of Kratos.
Baldur attacks Freya and Karots steps in and snaps the neck of Baldur. However, Freya wanted to die and she curses Kratos.
Thor confirmed for God of War 5?
We learn that Odin has been pulling the strings behind this plot. Thor, another Norse god, and son of Odin is the possible big bad for the upcoming God of War 5.
Kratos has already beaten Thor’s brother and sons, Magni and Modi. Thor shows up at the end of the game as a teaser for the upcoming God of War 5 after Kratos and Atreus make their way back to home.
We keep hearing about Odin throughout the game. It is possible that Thor could be another minion for Odin.
The players are teased with a short cutscene of Thor making an entrance.
God of War 5 release date is expected to fall somewhere in mid 2021.
