Godzilla Minus One Plot
Godzilla.com describes the latest franchise as set in “an already devastated postwar Japan.”
“GODZILLA MINUS ONE is written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki and sees an already devastated postwar Japan facing a new threat in the form of Godzilla.”
It will be the first domestic Japanese Godzilla movie since 2016 to hit American theatres. Toho also released the first look at the redesign of the Godzilla toy.
The action figure has been supervised by the director Takashi Yamazaki to match Godzilla’s appearance in the films. The company site states-
“Based on the 3D data used in the film, Yuji Sakai sculpted, colored, and produced the figure. The figure was also directly supervised by director Takashi Yamazaki to reproduce Godzilla as he appeared in the film!”
The figure has been designed to let consumers experience a replica of the monster that appears in the films. It will be available for pre-orders from July 18, 2023. And the orders are expected to be ready to be shipped from November 2023. The toys will approximately be selling for $100 per item.
“A wide range of motion allows poses appropriate for Godzilla (2023). In addition, for the first time in the S.H.MonsterArts series, the toes are independently movable. This allows you to recreate an image closer to the impression of Godzilla in the movie.”
