The Golden State Warriors is the most successful NBA team. With a strong roster consisting of skilled and talented players, this team is having a great season this year as well.
Could they make some changes? Should they add a shot creator to the roster? What about Klay Thompson’s expiring contract? Will he get an extension?
Here are the top 3 trade deals that the Warriors must consider to win another NBA title!
Golden State Warriors Land Pascal Siakam – The Trade Proposal
- The Golden State Warriors will receive the forward/center Pascal Siakam.
- The Toronto Raptors will receive the guard Chris Paul, the forward Jonathan Kuminga, a 2026 First-Round Draft Pick (Golden State Warriors), and a 2028 First-Round Draft Pick (Protected with Lottery – Golden State Warriors).

Adding Pascal Siakam to the roster would be a great upgrade to the Warriors. However, they want to give up the least amount of players or assets. So, adding Siakam doesn’t seem to be possible for the Warriors.
But if they still do, he will be their primary floor spacer at both ends of the court. But the big issue here is he is due for an extension, and the Warriors might not consider this deal since they already have a player due for an extension, Klay Thompson.
Golden State Warriors Trade for Mitchell Robinson – The Trade Proposal
- The Golden State Warriors will receive the center Mitchell Robinson.
- The New York Knicks will receive the center Kevon Looney, the guard/forward Gary Payton III, and a 2026 First-Round Draft Pick (Golden State Warriors).
The Warriors could build an elite rim protection by pairing Robinson with Draymond Green. He is one of the most impactful players in the league. However, he is not solving the shot-creation issue of the Warriors, so they might not consider this deal.
Golden State Warriors Acquire Terry Rozier and Gordon Hayward by Trading Klay Thompson – The Trade Proposal
- The Golden State Warriors will receive the guard Terry Rozier and the forward Gordon Hayward.
- The Charlotte Hornets will receive the guard/forward Klay Thompson and a 2026 First-Round Draft Pick (Protected by the top 5 – Golden State Warriors).
If Thompson doesn’t agree on an extension contract with the franchise, it may be the right time to move him. In this deal, the Warriors will get Terry Rozier, an ideal shot-creator. And since he is on an expiring contract, the Warriors can extend him for a desired price.
