The Golden State Warriors have been at their best for nearly 10 years now. They had their ups and downs, but they managed to maintain their high status in the league. Steph Curry is still doing it like the good old days, and the downfall has to wait until he passes the baton.
The last probably did not belong to the Warriors. Even though they made it to the second round of the playoffs by beating the Sacramento Kings, they could not go past the Lakers test. Can they make a few changes to run it back again? Here are 3 trades we think that the Warriors can do to change things for the better.
Raptors’ OG Anunoby to the Golden State Warriors
The Warriors can trade off Gary Payton, Jonathan Kuminga and 2026 first-round pick in exchange for OG Anunoby. The Warriors could not manage to give enough game time to Kuminga, and he has asked for a move-out. Anunoby is a great 3 and D winger and would be a great addition to the Warriors’ squad. He can be deadly while playing alongside Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green.

Pacers’ Myles Turner to the Golden State Warriors
The Warriors can offer Gary Payton, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, and a 2026 first-round pick in exchange for Myles Turner. Even though Kuminga is versatile, his preferred position is occupied by Wiggins. The Turner trade looks like a good option for them, while the teams would be figuring out how to stop Curry, Turner’s 3-pointers would do the job. But do they really want to part ways with Kuminga?

Clippers’ Robert Covington to the Golden State Warriors
The Warriors can send Chris Paul and a 2028 first-round pick by swap in exchange for Normal Powell and Robert Covington. If Paul does not manage to fit in with the Warriors’ style, they may trade him on the verge of the deadline. But it is very unlikely that a player like Paul fails to get things going.
Do Clippers really need to make changes or retrospect over what went wrong to do the job? Will they sign new players or give the same squad another shot? We’ll keep you updated.
