A Google employee claims he got sacked. Moreover, for turning down physical approaches of a lady. The lady was reportedly was among the corporation’s top most executives. According to a federal report complaint registered on November 30 in Manhattan by Ryan Olohan, 48. Google’s Tiffany Miller released Olohan to leave following the claim that states that Miller touched Ryan at a diner in December 2019. Moreover informed him she knows that he was drawn to Asian women.
Google and Miller are named as respondents in Olohan’s case, which seeks compensatory monetary return. It charges the accused with racism, harassment, and creating a hostile working atmosphere. Miller, the head of Google’s programmatic media, stroked Olohan’s abdomen. Moreover, praised his figure, and remarked him her that her relationship needed excitement, based on the lawsuit petition. The claimed incident occurred on a work outing at Fig & Olive on West 13th Street. Just after Olohan got appointed as chief executive of food, drinks, and eateries. In Google’s Manhattan headquarters, he had joined a new leadership team that included Miller.
Olohan admitted that he was initially hesitant to share any remarks about the situation since several of his colleagues were intoxicated. Several Google employees reportedly disregarded the conversation as “Tiffany being Tiffany,” based on the most recent legal papers. Olohan stated that he complained about the situation to Google’s department of human resources the next week, however the issue was never pursued.
Google: ‘Escalation is possible if a female accuses a white guy’
The HR employee “openly admitted … that if the complaint was ‘in reverse’. A female accusing a white male of harassment — the complaint would certainly be escalated.” Miller immediately began criticizing him and referring him to human resource department for “microaggressions,” as per Olohan. However, the accusation does not specify what Miller blamed him of.
A intoxicated Miller is reported to have pulled Olohan in front of his colleagues at a team gathering in December 2021. As a consequence, based on the filings, Miller’s coworkers asked him to go to the opposite side of the table. Miller however, apologized the suit professes “although Google was aware that Miller’s continued harassment of Olohan stemmed from his rejection of her sexual advances, it again took no action.”
Miller reportedly lectured Olohan once more in April 2022 during a group night out at a singalong club. Moreover, this is where she is claimed to have insulted the worker, whose spouse is Asian. Later said stating that she knew that he preferred Asian women. Under criticism from his boss, who informed Olohan that his leadership team had “clearly too many white guys,” he was persuaded to let rid of a male member of the team and switched him with a female worker. Google sacked Olohan a month later, concluding his 16-year employment at the company.
The spokesman said, “This lawsuit is a fictional account of events filled with numerous falsehoods, fabricated by a disgruntled ex-employee, who was senior to Ms. Miller at Google, Ms. Miller never made any ‘advance’ toward Mr. Olohan, which witnesses can readily corroborate.”
