Thanks to Google, it is going to get a lot easier to call the ambulance to the exact accident spot. One will be able to call the 108 centers and not give them the location, not have an app or even the internet and still the ambulance will be able to pinpoint the exact location.
How is this possible?
The technology giant, Google, and the telecom providers have come to an agreement with the Union Health Ministry in order to offer this service. This service will make it a lot easier for the ambulance to reach the exact spot without having the information about the location, reported a senior government official.
How will this work?
Google Emergency Location Services will be coupled with the Cell Tower Triangulation technology. The Cell Tower Triangulation technology will help get the information from the telecom operator about the current location of the caller. The Google Emergency Location Services will then use the GPS in order to track the location in the most accurate way possible. this will allow the ambulance to get to the exact location of the emergency.
The official explained that both Google and telecom companies will work together and revolutionize the 108 emergency services. He said that this was a one of a kind initiative and the people will get all the help they need with the help of technology which does not need any prior information and internet or an app on the devices of the people.
The official further stated that this app-free, internet-free platform is what makes this universal and everyone will be able to get help even if they do not have internet.
