The Google Pixel camera is considered as the holy grail of smartphone cameras. However, users are now claiming that this may no longer be the claim. A number of users have begun complaining that after the March OTA update, the camera of their Google Pixel smartphones has started to act strangely.
Let us take a closer look at what’s wrong with the Google Pixel camera and what the users are saying about it:
Problems With the Google Pixel Camera?
The Google Pixel camera, otherwise considered to be the finest in the smartphone biz, has not been performing up to the mark. Users report that the camera has been slow for quite a while now. Moreover, it freezes mid-video and continues to remain frozen for a long time – causing a disruption in the video.
Sometimes, the camera also shows an error and just stops responding! Even the latest March OTA update has not been able to provide a solution to it. These problems had been making rounds on social media for some time now. Let us take a closer look at what the users are saying about it:
Google Pixel Camera Problem: Pixel Users Upset
Upset pixel users are taking their frustration out on social media. The fact that the camera is acting strangely has been confirmed by APKmirror founder Artem Russakovskii. He tweeted:
I can confirm that the Pixel Camera is still a laggy piece of crap after the March OTA.
It is slow to start and frequently destroys videos entirely by freezing for several seconds, or straight up erroring out and stopping the recoding which is what just happened.

Here’s what other users have to say:
We've given up hope on Pixels. We consider the hardware low build quality and the software no longer stands out. Plus, the lack of RAM is becoming more evident. We're skipping this year

After the first day I thought that maybe they fixed it. But after a couple days I too have noticed the problems continuing.
