Grace Van Dien may be best known in the acting world for her role as Chrissy Cunningham in Season 4 of “Stranger Things.” After a producer asked her for a threesome, Grace Van Dien said she had quit acting to focus on streaming. She told more than 300,000 people who follow her on Twitch about how bad things were for her in Hollywood and why she decided to change careers.
The fact of the matter is the last few projects I’ve worked on I didn’t have the best experiences with some of the people I had to work for. And with streaming, I get to choose who I hang out with, who I talk to, etc etc,
she said.
One of the last movies I did, one of the producers hired a girl that he was sleeping with, and then he had her ask me to have a threesome with them. So like, that’s my boss. And I didn’t, and I cried. I was so upset.
Grace Van Dien has had worse things happen to her than being asked to be in a threesome.
Joseph Quinn, who plays Grace Van Dien’s co-star on “Stranger Things,” said that fans have relentlessly teased her. They have also asked her to be in a threesome. During a live Q&A at London Comic Con on March 4, he was asked what he thought about the harassment Van Dien got for playing his love interest.
I was talking to her about it. The internet is a very unforgiving place,
Quinn said.
It’s a place where people can show a lot of support, or where people can rally around hatred and misinformation. It’s indicative of where we are culturally – just through association she was getting lambasted. It’s disgusting. I don’t know what to say other than it sucks.
It looks like Grace has a lot of fans who like to watch her on Twitch. But it’s too bad that perverts in Hollywood forced her to give up on her dream.
