GTA 6 is making noise once more because of the release date rumors surrounding it, rather than any official announcements. The Grand Theft Auto series has been one of the most controversial yet highest-selling video game in history.
GTA 5, released over five years ago, continues to rake in the moolah for Rockstar Games. This leaves little doubt that fans will surely get the sixth part, later if not sooner. But when will fans know GTA 6 Release Date?
Online rumors of GTA 6 release
The internet is going crazy over the latest rumors of GTA 6 release. Sparked by a Reddit account, there are suggestions that Rockstar could unveil the game at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2019. The redditor claimed inside knowledge by virtue of being involved in a project for Take-Two Interactive, the company that owns Rockstar Games. The original post, however, has since been deleted.

Are these release date rumors true?
Considering Rockstar hasn’t made any official announcement of GTA 6 release date, not even confirming if production has started on the next Grand Theft Auto game, you may be well advised to take the news with more than a pinch of salt.
There are plenty more reasons why there is close to zero chance of the rumor coming true. Firstly, Rockstar hasn’t even been in attendance at E3 for years. Unless there is an unexpected development, it is unlikely that they’ll be doing so this year either. Second and most importantly, they just released Red Dead Redemption 2 and its online version last year in October and November. It would be highly counterproductive for them to pull focus away from it by releasing another huge title so soon.
In all likelihood, GTA 6 will not release before 2020 and reasonable estimates put its release date closer to 2021 or 2022. Rockstar, in fact, has been looking at releasing the game for PS5 and Xbox 2. Fans may have to wait a little longer to be able to get their hands on the game.
