Guardians of the Galaxy 4 is one of the most anticipated movies in the MCU right now. In volume 3 of Guardians of the Galaxy, all guardians were united for the final adventure.
Even though James Gunn has retired from MCU, he concluded the story in a way that Marvel can again make a movie with a primary focus on the Guardians.
Furthermore, some actors like Bautista and Zoe Saldana decide not to work; James Gunn has introduced a fresh cast for the upcoming volume of Guardians of the Galaxy.
James Gunn Drops Bombshell: Guardians of the Galaxy 4 is Already in the Works!
James Gunn has revealed a lot of details about volume 4 of Guardians of the Galaxy. He recently gave an interview to Esquire Middle East, revealing that a volume 4 is unlikely to happen since the original lineup of guardians will not come together again.
James also talked about the possibility of future Guardian movies and the newly assembled roster, which were featured in the mid-credits of Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
James said:
“I don’t think there will ever be a ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 4.’ There’s many reasons this group will not be back. There could be more ‘Guardians’ movies, but it won’t be with this group.”
James expressed his feeling and revealed that he would love to see a new Guardians movie by Bradley Cooper’s Rocket Raccoon. He further said:
“I think as long as somebody brings themselves to it, and doesn’t just try to copy that style—I think it can be really amazing. And there’s so many directors I would like to do that. And I would love to see it happen.”
The executive producer of all MCU movies, Louis D’Esposito, said that volume 3 of Guardians of the Galaxy doesn’t necessarily conclude the franchise. But it could be a fresh start for a new team of Guardians.
However, we all know that MCU only greenlights movies that get success at the box office. Guardians of Galaxy 3 had great numbers at the box office, which hints a possibility of volume 4 is in the works.
The Cast of Guardians of the Galaxy 4
Volume 3 mid-credit scene revealed Guardians 2.0, which is a new lineup by Rocket Raccoon. His right-hand man is Alpha Groot. Apart from that, Cosmo, the “Good” Spacedog, will also be a part of Guardians 2.0.
Possible Release Date of Guardians of the Galaxy
The usual break between The Guardian’s sequel is around 3 years. So if we get Guardians of the Galaxy 4, it will likely be released in the summer of 2027.
