Gwyneth Paltrow is maturing gracefully.
The 49-year-old actor posted a lovely black and white photo of herself dancing in a bikini on Instagram to mark her forthcoming 50th birthday.
The Shakespeare in Love actor captioned the image, “Musings on a milestone.” A blog entry she had published on her website, in which she spoke openly about the prospect of reaching 50, was also pointed up to her fans.
The mother of two started the article by recalling the occasion of her parents’ 50th birthday celebrations, Blythe Danner and Bruce Paltrow.
She continued, writing: “There is something about the richness of existence that lives deep within me that is unchanged, that will not change, before moving on to contemplate how my body has evolved over the years. It is the very essence of everything. It appears to be becoming tastier.
“My body, a map of the evidence of all the days, is less timeless.”
“A collection of marks and irregularities that dog-ear the chapters. Scarred from oven burns, a finger smashed in a window long ago, the birth of a child. Silver hair and fine lines,” the mother of two added.
The Marvel star continued by saying that, while she still takes care of herself, she has come to terms with her body’s ageing and flaws.
She stated: “While I do everything I can to work toward good health and longevity, to fend off fading muscles and retreating bone, I have a mantra I insert into those careless thoughts that try to derail me: I accept.”
“I am okay with the creases, loosened skin, and markings. I embrace my body and let go of the desire to be flawless, appear flawless, and defy gravity, reason, and mankind. I recognise my humanity “The Oscar-winning actor said.
Paltrow is well renowned for her dedication to fitness and good health. She created the wellness lifestyle company Goop in 2008; it initially started as a newsletter but has since grown to include a podcast, a print magazine, pop-up stores, and a Netflix docuseries.
Paltrow discussed her aspirations for the future in a later piece, noting that she was looking forward to taking things a little slower.
“I want to go more slowly. I want to pull back just a bit. I’d like to reduce the size of my circle, “She composed.
