The Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young is likely to get traded to the Brooklyn Nets this offseason. The player has some off-court issues, and his relationship with the head coach is not that great as well. The Hawks are not struggling, but they are not on the same level as they want themselves to be. They are likely to make changes to their roster, and the way things have been with Trae, he is most likely to leave.
The Oklahoma Sooners product played 73 games for the Hawks last season and averaged 26.2 points, 10.2 assists, and 3 rebounds per game while shooting 33.5 percent from beyond the arc. The Nets have a brilliant roster, and they are missing a playmaker. The 24-year-old has got brilliant stats. Can he be the last piece of the puzzle for the Nets? Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Atlanta Hawks and the Brooklyn Nets involving Trae Young.
What would the Nets offer for Trae Young?
The Nets are expected to offer Ben Simmons and one first-round pick each from the years 2025,2027 and 2029 in exchange for the Hawks’ #11. The Nets need a player who can be the focal point of their attack. Will they be able to land Trae?

Why would the Nets like to sign Trae Young?
The Nets used to have the likes of Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving. They had a star-studded squad with three offensive focal points, and it is weird to say that they have neither of them and they are looking for a player for that profile. Trae is a great playmaker and a dynamic attacker. The Nets would probably put him around multiple 3 and D wings to cover for his poor defending.

Why would the Hawks trade-off Trae Young?
The Hawks acquired Dejounte Murray to cover up for Trae, but the duo failed to deliver together. The Hawks are building a defensive squad around Murray and trading off Trae. They are getting a quality player along with three draft picks, which is a good deal.
Will this trade make the Nets a team to beat? How will the Hawks line up next season? We’ll keep you updated.
