The Last of Us Season 3 Release: A Confirmation Before Season 2
During an interview, the designer and co-writer of the popular series, The Last of Us, confirmed that The Last of Us would have a Season 3.
This information was revealed by Neil when asked whether the Last of Season 2 would cover the complete story or not. And he replied it would take one more season to cover the entire storyline.

The co-creator of the series, Craig Mazin, also confirmed that it would be more than 2 seasons in The Last of Us series. While he didn’t mention a specific number, he clearly meant to rectify one more season in the series.
The creators have decided to make one more season in the series since they want to keep the Joel character, who eventually dies. This will give the creators an opportunity to explore the story further and keep Pedro Pascal for as long as possible.
The Last of Us Season 2 might end up with Joel’s death, while Season 3 will have its primary focus on Ellie’s story.
The Last of Us Season 3 Confirmed: What We Know So Far
As of now, the plot or storyline has not been confirmed. As per Neil Druckmann, they will only develop the Last of Us Season 3 once they come up with a good story.
Yet, because the series has received a positive response from viewers, it is expected that there will be a season 3 regardless of whether the creators come up with a solid story or not.
