During the holidays, we often remember that we should put our family and friends first instead of running like crazy in the rat race just to get more cheese (literal or metaphorical, you choose).
But the honest truth is that 2022 has been one of the worst years in recent memory. And many people are celebrating the holidays even though they are worried about war, sickness, or being poor. When things are hard, we need something to hold on to more than ever, something to remind us that there is hope, love, and goodness in the world.
We put together this list of the most inspiring and heartwarming Christmas posts to remind you that people are kind all around us. Scroll down and get ready to feel good about people again!

For us, Christmas is a time to show our friends and family the love and care they deserve. People are very social, and acts of kindness are our main source of food and income. And it would be much harder to build trust if we didn’t give gifts to show how much we care.
Ariane, a writer, and expert on happiness, spoke on how to pay attention to what really matters in life. We were interested in what she had to say about how we can show how much we love our closest friends and family all year long, not just at Christmas.

It doesn’t have to be an extravagant gift or gesture—something as small as a kindly note can lift their spirits. Also, pay attention to what they say and do and ask them about it. ‘How did the concert go?’ or, ‘Is your aunt feeling better now?’ shows that you care and listen to what they say,
Ariane said that our time and attention were very important. Not the price tag or the wrapping paper, but them.

Ariane, who is a writer, was kind enough to explain why people give gifts in the first place

He said that if we ever get a gift we don’t like, we should think about how our loved ones felt when they picked it out or made it. We should value the work they do more than the thing itself.
