At 48, Hollywood icon Hilary Swank announced that she would become a mom for the very first time. Late parenthood is becoming more and more prevalent. The actress is incredibly happy to be starting this new chapter of her life with her hubby. We received the nicest announcement from her notifying us that they will soon have four children, and we couldn’t be happier for this adorable couple.
She wanted to become a mom for a long time.
The actress and her husband, social venture entrepreneur Philip Schneider, whom she calls “the man of my dreams,” met on a blind date and walked down the aisle a few years later in 2018. Their chemistry had been almost immediate on that first date, as she explained, “We met at 10:00 a.m. and parted ways at 11:00 p.m.”
And 4 years after tying the knot, Hilary announced on a TV show that she was going to become the mom of “not just of one, but of two.” Speaking of motherhood, she said, “This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time.” She furthermore explained that twins run in her and her husband’s families.
She is now in her second trimester.
Hilary made the revelation on live television, and she was unable to contain her happiness about the next stage of her life. It’s such a blessing, she said. It truly is a miracle. It’s incredible.
She admitted that she was in the middle of her pregnancy and that recently her clothes had started to run small. “So I had to, the other day… cut [my jeans] open,” she continued.
“When the time is right.”
Swank responded, “When the time is right, I’ll know,” to the question of whether she is considering becoming a mother when she was 35 years old. “I am aware that I will turn 35 next week,” she continued. However, I am also conscious of the need for proper timing.
“DOUBLE feature”
Right after the TV announcement, Hilary posted a cute video on her Instagram with the caption “Coming soon…DOUBLE feature!” It’s a short and sweet clip where the smiling mama-to-be points to her baby bump.
