A mother from Texas is gaining attention on social media after she issued a warning to other parents that taking their children to see the new “Hocus Pocus 2” movie could be detrimental to their families’ spiritual well-being.
“Hocus Pocus,” a Disney Halloween film that was released in 1993 and has since become a cult classic, stars Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker as the Sanderson Sisters, a trio of witches who kidnap children and sacrifice them so that they can regain their youth. The Sanderson Sisters are the antagonists of the film. Many people think of the film as an essential component of the holiday season.
In the highly anticipated new installment, all three actresses will be seen performing their signature roles as the witch sisters. The second installment of the Hocus Pocus franchise is now available to stream on Disney+.
Jamie Gooch expressed her opinions regarding the recently released film on Facebook, telling other users of the social media platform that she had a “strong conviction to share a word” with them regarding the movie.
With the release of Hocus Pocus 2 coming up I would be wrong not to sound the alarm and warn you to protect your children,” Gooch warned in her Facebook post. “After all the whole movie is based on harvesting the purity of children’s souls so that witches may live on.”
Gooch cautions parents to think about what they are “exposing” their minds and the minds of their children to and asks them to think about what they are “welcoming” into their homes. He also warns parents to consider what they are “subjecting” their children’s minds too.
“I’ll try to be brief, Please hear me when I tell you the truth that the Witches and Warlocks in the satanic church abuse and sacrifice children in their ‘spiritual rituals’ to gain more power in the underworld,” Gooch said in the post.
So before you hit play on the night of the premier of this movie please ask yourself if not only your mind but your children’s minds are strong enough to ward off the hypnotization and bewitching trance that will be coming through the screen to aid in the desensitization of the coming evil in this world,” Gooch warned. “Don’t fall victim to the schemes of hell.”
The post that Gooch made on Facebook attracted a lot of attention and many of the people who responded made fun of her warning. Some people claimed that the new movie is nothing more than a work of fiction and that as a result, the dangers that Gooch is worried about do not exist in the real world. Others made fun of Gooch for being a “Karen,” accusing her of trying to rekindle the “Satanic Panic” that was prevalent in the 1980s.
Gooch did, however, receive some support, with many people expressing gratitude to her for having the courage to share her thoughts.
“Jamie, do you mind if I share this on my page? I believe this is a message of the Lord. I have loved ones that need to read this,” said one reply.
Gooch, who is reportedly a mother of three and considers herself to be a very spiritual person, takes the potential danger posed by the movie very seriously and does not find it funny in the least.
Gooch was contacted for an interview by KWTX News, a local television station after a post she made on Facebook went viral. It appears that she shared with them her belief that there is a “spiritual war” being fought against families across the United States.
“A worst case scenario is: you unleash hell on your kids and in your home,” Gooch told the news station. “The whole movie is based on witches harvesting children for blood sacrifices.
“Do not watch this film,” Gooch reportedly warned. “Everybody thinks it’s fake and innocent, but they could be casting any type of spell that they want to, anything could be coming through that TV screen into your home.”
Gooch told KWTX News that her family hasn’t celebrated Halloween in many years because the “thought of exposing our kids to darkness” apparently “grieves” her. These reasons and others are included in this sentiment.
In addition, even though Gooch is sounding the alarm about Hocus Pocus 2, her concerns actually extend much further than that.
“I think it goes further than just a movie, it goes further than Halloween, it’s a year-round thing, we constantly need to be cautious of what we’re consuming, what we’re bringing in and what we’re sending out,” Gooch told KWTX News. “I believe whatever comes in our TV screens: there are things attached to that, I’ve seen for myself the things that I’ve watched with my eyes or heard over a TV screen, they’ve become manifested in real life, and then I think ‘oh my gosh, what did I consume?’”
According to KWTX News, Gooch expressed that she was more concerned about the people who could be helped by hearing her warning than the negative feedback that she had received, saying that it was worth it even if just one person changed their mind as a result of her post.
“I hope I make a difference, but even if it’s in one person’s life…that’s all that matters,” Gooch said. “It doesn’t have to be transforming Hollywood, I don’t have to make a huge impact, just a small one and I’d be happy and satisfied.”
Not all of the content that Gooch is warning people about on her various social media pages is related to Hocus Pocus 2. Gooch shared a post about her concerns regarding the new series “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” on Netflix just a few days after her post that was inspired by the Sanderson sisters.
In another part of his response to the series, Gooch prays and reiterates his earlier warning that “there is a spiritual war that is being waged against our homes.”
The Facebook post that Gooch shared asserts that an actual demon is “operating behind” the Netflix show and that this information was revealed to the original poster of the post by the Holy Spirit in the form of a vision or dream.
