Emma Heming Willis, Bruce Willis’ wife, has always appeared to have a decent connection with her husband’s first wife.

In Hollywood, blended families are nothing new. Many celebrity couples have successfully merged their families when entering new relationships and marriages, proving that it is possible as long as everyone is a willing participant.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, both of whom have many children from previous marriages, expressed delight at seeing their families get along so well. “We have blended families, which has doubled the people, doubled the fun, doubled the love, doubled the presents, and tripled the chaos!!” Lopez mentioned it in her newsletter. Gwyneth Paltrow, who had two children with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin before marrying current husband Brad Falchuk, stated that getting used to the setup takes time, but it all works out in the end. “We took a year to let everybody [in the family] take it in and let the dust settle,” she explained to InStyle.
The same is true for Emma Heming and Bruce Willis. Before marrying Heming, the “Die Hard” actor had three children with ex-wife Demi Moore and has since welcomed two more daughters. But the thing about this blended family is that Moore is still very much a part of everyone’s lives. Heming, on the other hand, is not envious. She even confessed that she admired Moore and Willis’ prior relationship.

Emma Heming admired Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s relationship
Despite having a similar denominator: being Bruce Willis’ wife, there is no hatred between Emma Heming and Demi Moore. In April 2023, the model uploaded an old snapshot of Willis and Moore from their relationship on her Instagram Story (seen above). “Yeah. Me too. “I also liked them together,” she said in the caption, alongside a slew of heart emojis.
Nobody can blame her because Moore and Willis were an It Couple in the 1990s. In her biography “Inside Out” Moore wrote that the couple married after only four months of dating and that it was a spur-of-the-moment choice. “We were on our way to the casino when Bruce Willis said, ‘I think we should get married.'” Moore stated, “We’d been joking about it on the flight there, but suddenly it didn’t seem like he was kidding.” They had three children during their 13-year marriage: Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah.
The former couple ended their marriage in 2000, but they managed to forge a strong friendship for the sake of their kids. “I still love Demi. We’re very close,” Willis told Rolling Stone. “We have three children whom we will continue to raise together, and we’re probably as close now as we ever were. We realize we have a lifelong commitment to our kids. Our friendship continues. The institution has been set aside.”
Are Emma Heming and Demi Moore friends?
If Demi Moore and Bruce Willis are friends, Moore and Emma Heming are “sisters.” In an Instagram post, the “Ghost” star wrote that Heming is “family who I am honored to call a friend.” She also said that they are “mothers united, sisters bonded on this crazy adventure of life,” and noted how much she admires Heming for being a “beautiful mother dedicated to her family” and “an absolutely gorgeous woman.”
Heming, for her part, considers Moore one of the most important people in her life, too. When she and Bruce Willis renewed their vows on their 10th anniversary, she said that they refused to do it without Moore’s presence. “She welcomed me into her family as I welcomed her into ours,” she told Us Weekly, adding that she admires how her husband and Moore have worked through their differences and created a beautiful co-parenting relationship through the years. “I learned so much from that and grew so much from watching that. It was important for her to be there.”
People close to the Willis family also confirmed that Heming and Moore are indeed close. “Demi and Emma are very close. They have vacationed together many times in the past and get along great,” a source told shared with People. “It really is one happy family.”
