Margot Robbie is a Hollywood A-lister today. A decade ago however when she starred in The Wolf of Wall Street alongside Leonardo Di Caprio, life was challenging, to say the least. The Australian actress revealed how her family reacted to her X-rated scenes in the film. Robbie recently revealed that one sibling was so shocked by the naked scenes that he refused to speak to her for 3 months.
Margot Robbie’s intimate scenes affected her family
Although Margot’s breakout role was in The Wolf of Wall Street, her nude scenes made for “uncomfortable” viewing for her loved ones.
Robbie revealed on the Jimmy Kimmel Show back in 2014 that she lied to her family about the role. At first, she told them ‘There is no nudity.
She told Kimmel,
“I’m not doing any nudity. Ignore anything anyone’s saying, there is no nudity.”
She later changed the lie with another lie saying,
“‘It’s a body double, and they just CGI-ed my head onto someone else.”
That lie worked as Robbie explained,
‘They totally bought it. They were like, ‘They can do that?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, technology these days, you wouldn’t believe what they do in Hollywood.'”
Her brother was shocked by the naked scenes in the film
However, lies do not hide the reality for long and Robbie’s family eventually found out about her X-rated scenes in The Wolf of Wall Street. Robbie recently admitted that her brother refused to talk to her after he watched her racy naked scenes in The Wolf of Wall Street.
The Hollywood actress has revealed that the siblings didn’t speak to each other for three months after their family watched Margot in the 2013 blockbuster.

Robbie recently appeared on the Screen Time podcast and revealed that her brother “needed a minute” before he could “consider” her again.
She said:
“I can’t tell you how uncomfortable that was. One of my brothers didn’t speak to me for three months afterward – not because he was mad, he was just, like: ‘I just need a minute before I can consider you my sister again!’”
Her brother’s comment came after the 32-year-old actress watched The Wolf of Wall Street “with her whole family” and was met with a frosty reception.

Margot starred alongside big-name actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey, and Joanna Lumley in shocking scenes that showed full frontal nudity, drug taking, and abuse.
However, one of the most shocking parts of the movie came from their behind-the-scenes antics as Margot revealed to Australian radio hosts Fitzy and Wippa, who asked her whether it was hard to find actresses with a suitable body type for the role.
Robbie then admitted that the producers had a backup plan, just in case.
She said:
“They have these things called merkins, which is like a wig for genitalia. I remember for The Wolf of Wall Street, there was an entire merkin room.”
Margot continued:
“I guess people would go in and pick one out. It was fascinating.”
Robbie talks about her role in Babylon
Robbie also discussed her latest film Babylon, which sees her character collapse after a cocaine-fuelled orgy and wrestle with a snake.
The Australian actress admitted that she was comfortable filming for the “debaucherous party” scene due to her previous racy moments in The Wolf of Wall Street, which left her “desensitized.”
She also claimed that filming for the movie “felt like a lifetime” but also “a distant, hazy memory”.
