Martha Stewart is 81 years old, but she shows no signs of slowing down. Some might even say she’s getting hotter. Martha Stewart has been chosen as one of the swimsuit cover models for Sports Illustrated, the magazine said on Monday.

She is the oldest model to appear on the cover of the annual swimsuit issue. Maye Musk, who posed for the issue in 2022 when she was 74, was the previous record holder.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the businesswoman and media personality said she hopes the cover will encourage people “to try new things, no matter what stage of life you’re in.” She also put up a video clip from an interview with MJ Day, the editor-in-chief of SI Swimsuit, as a part of her podcast. The video showed several pictures of Stewart from a photo shoot in the Dominican Republic, including one of her coming out of the water in a blue swimsuit and sunglasses.

They were pouring water over my head,

Martha Stewart said during the podcast.

In the 1990s, Stewart started Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. Since then, her name has become a synonym for cooking, entertaining, and taking care of a home. She put out cookbooks, cooking tools, magazines, towels, and other things. She has been the host of many TV shows, and in the past few years, she has worked on a number of projects with rapper Snoop Dogg. Stewart was found guilty of lying to the government in 2004 about a stock sale, for which she faced a prison sentence of five months.

This year’s swimsuit edition also features singer Kim Petras, actor Megan Fox, and model Brooks Nader on the cover.

On Thursday in New York, there will be a red-carpet event for the 2023 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. On Friday, the magazine will be on newsstands.
