Currently, the whole world is going through tough times. Amid the coronavirus pandemic, we are being told to take care of our frontline workers. Also, at the same time, we usually come across some viral videos in our social media news feed daily. And one among them is a video of a tearful Georgia cop accusing McDonald’s workers of withholding her breakfast order went viral on Twitter.
On Wednesday, Stacy Talbert went viral after her trip to the McDonald’s drive-thru went awry. This leads the local franchisee to apologize to the officer and clarify that she “was never denied service.” In her Facebook Live clip, Talbert had just gone to pick up her mobile breakfast order after finishing her overnight shift. She had ordered a coffee, an Egg McMuffin, and an order of hash browns. But when she reached the outlet, her food was not ready.
Instead, an employee asked her to pull over to the side and eventually, came out with a coffee. This left the cop lady in distress. And she said in her video, “And I’m waiting And I’m waiting And I’m waiting.” She was in tears and continues to speak that she is too nervous to take her order now from McDonald’s. As she couldn’t see it being made.
Netizens criticize the cop lady for her viral video
The cop lady has received a backlash from the netizens on social media platforms because they blamed her for doing this as an act of publicity. The people criticized her for suggesting her order was intentionally delayed by the staff, and for having too much of an emotional reaction for someone who holds so much responsibility.
One commenter wrote that “this person … having a mental breakdown over a mcmuffin … is allowed to carry a pistol everyday and use it whenever they deem it necessary.”
However, the cop lady claimed that she didn’t want any sympathy from her video. Check out the viral video below.
