Elliot Page, an actor, and transgender icon uploaded a moving post on Instagram about how gender-affirming care has transformed his life.
Two and a half years have passed since the star of “The Umbrella Academy” came out as a trans man. Since then, trans people all over the world have looked up to him as a sign of hope. He keeps sharing the good news about his gender journey on social media.
Elliot Page posted a topless selfie in his most recent Instagram post to show how gender-affirming care can change the lives of trans people. For those who didn’t know, the 36-year-old actor came out as transgender in December 2020.
In 2021, the Canadian actor told the story of coming out as a transgender. He said that having surgery on his top changed both his body and his mind.
It has completely transformed my life… [It’s] not only life-changing but lifesaving.
Elliot Page Goes Shirtless In His New Post.
Since May 2021, about 3 million people have liked Elliot Page’s first shirtless picture after having surgery. But in just 24 hours, almost 2 million people have seen his new picture of his six-pack. His powerful caption starts with:
Dysphoria used to be especially rife in the summer. No layers, just a T-shirt – or layers and oh so sweaty – constantly looking down, readjusting my oversized T. It feels so f’ing good soaking in the sun now.
When he shared the post, his fans appreciated it and gave positive feedback. One said,
I will never understand how anyone could be upset about you living a joyful life.
While another wrote,
So grateful to witness this new and free expression of you!
Omgg you look so good,
a third fan commented and a fourth fan added,
You’re the hottest thing on Earth.

In December 2020, Page came out as transgender. When he made an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers last year, he said he was feeling “extraordinary” joy and “presence.”
I feel a way that I really never thought possible for a long, long time. So that’s really what I’m focussing on and embracing the most. But, of course, moments can be overwhelming.
The Change Was Not Only ‘Life-Changing But Lifesaving’
The Oscar-nominated actor changed his passport last year to reflect his gender identity. This shows how something small can be very important. Elliot Page even said that for the first time, he felt like he looked like himself.
But the Juno actor said he couldn’t look at pictures of himself, especially when he played female characters in movies. He told Time magazine following his surgery:
It has completely transformed my life….[It’s] not only life-changing but lifesaving.
Since then, he’s been happy and proud to show off how much his body has changed. Elliot Page posted his first picture of himself without a shirt on since his surgery in May 2021, six months after he told people he was trans. He added tags to the post, such as “Trans joy” and “Trans is beautiful.”
This year, Page revealed the cover of his next book. The actor is seen wearing blue jeans, a white tank top, and a necklace in the picture.
