Even though it’s been a long time since the Swift Squad of 1989, some remnants still exist. In an interview this week, Gigi Hadid, a supermodel, admitted that she gets pretty crazy at Taylor Swift shows, saying, “I’m a psychopath at a Taylor show…I go nuts. I’m not cool at all. I’m, like, the most embarrassing friend.”
This makes one wonder: is there anyone who isn’t like that? If you get a ticket to a Taylor Swift show and come out unscathed, you’re either really well-connected or highly dedicated. In Gigi’s case, she happens to be both. Her comment to E! News earned her some relatability points she may have lost during a brief fling with Leonardo DiCaprio. If she follows her plan to attend Swift’s upcoming Eras Tour, she’ll hold onto those points for a bit longer.
“I’ll make it to a few,” she said about the highly anticipated concerts, which caused Ticketmaster to near break last year. “I try to make it to as many as I can.”
As for what she’ll wear, don’t expect a complete Midnight-themed outfit, but she’s not opposed to finding an old-school folklore cardigan on eBay. She might even get something personally sent by her best friend, Taylor. “I like to boogie, so I’m usually in jeans and a T-shirt,” Gigi added. “I’ll wear some Taylor merch if I get some.”
Swift’s Eras Tour will span 52 dates across the United States, starting this month in Glendale, Arizona, and ending in August in Inglewood, California. Other performers like Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, Haim, Muna, and Gracie Abrams will join her on stage. We don’t know which concerts Gigi will attend, but we can expect to see a few TikToks showing her so-called “psychotic” behavior in the crowd. Only then will we see how she stacks up against the full force of Swiftie Nation?
