Iron Fist was almost on the edge to settle up the dust in K’un-Lun, when Netflix decided to put an end to it. Iron Fist Season 3 has officially been canceled.
In a joint statement issued to Deadline by Disney and Netflix, the duo made it clear Iron Fist is not getting a second season. The first season received poor response by the audience but still, the creators brought on another season. The second season was a little bit better but still wasn’t good enough to impress the audience.
The statement released by Disney and Netflix read,
“Marvel’s Iron Fist will not return for a third season on Netflix. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew, and showrunners … We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership, we’ve shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the Immortal Iron Fist will live on.”

This news came just a week ahead of Daredevil 3, which indicates that there is nothing going wrong between Netflix and Marvel. It’s just that Finn Jones is saying goodbye to Iron Fist character for good now.
This came as a shocker to many of Marvel fans. This was because of the optimistic statement released by Jeph Loeb a few days back. He said,
“Unlike the movie studio, which can announce a Captain Marvel movie will be out in 2019, the television studio will always be beholden to our networks, and so if our networks want another season of Iron Fist, we’re ready to go. We’re just waiting for the answer. The show’s been out of a week.”
Iron Fist is the first ever Marvel TV series to get canceled on the small screen.
