Well folks, it seems like Instagram is down yet again after their recent mess up a few days ago which took down Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp altogether!
Multiple user reports, more than 1000, in the last hour have hinted that something weird is going on with Instagram. People’s inboxes (direct messages), follow lists and much more are completely jumbled up, some even showing gibberish content, and some are not even viewable.
Users are clearly frustrated as Instagram is down Yet again!
A recent tweet by @lesliebarrerah is all that is needed to understand the leveel of frustration faced by users: “What’s going on at @instagram headquarters lately? Another glitch!”

Downdetector.com also shows over 2000 reports in the last couple of hours, and hundreds of reports are coming in every few minutes!
List of Followers is completely jumbled up!
Several users have reported that their list of followers and following is completely jumbled up, with random users showing up in their list. Seems like one user @mscheker is on-to something as they comment:
“Looks like I found an issue. When you look at the list of followers for a given account, the list shows the results of both the people following you and the account you’re viewing, instead of just the people following the other account.”
Users can’t view Instagram Stories
Not a single user is able to view Instagram stories. We bet you wouldn’t be able to either when your feed looks like this:
A user has reported to us that they see a “blank page” when they tap to view any Insta story on their feed.

Users are reporting that their followers have reduced. Instagram removing fake followers?
A user on DownDetector.com commented, “@Vwbrando followers just went from 15,243 to 7,213 ???? Instagram not loading and down.” Could this Instagram outage result in fake followers being removed? The situation is getting tense for Instagram users as every minute passes by!
Is there a way to fix this Problem?
One twitter user has apparently been able to resolve this problem by updating their Instagram app to the latest version. @FableticsHoe tweeted, “To everyone whose Instagram don’t work, update the app. I just did it and it works now. #InstagramDown.”
