Marvel’s Loki has always been a series rife with twists, turns, and tantalizing teases about the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. But of all the surprises the show has thrown our way, the revelation about the TVA’s Pie-Room is certainly the most… delectable.
Perks of Being with the TVA: More than Meets the Eye?
Most fans would argue that joining the TVA ranks high on the list of enviable Marvel occupations. I mean, who wouldn’t want to serve alongside the likes of Mobius and O.B., have the incredible power to hop across timelines, and, most enticingly, forget all past troubles? The chance to “prune” irksome individuals is the cherry on top.
You don’t age, the power to visit any point in time (and evidently even branch timelines)… your past doesn’t matter anymore, the choice to prune annoying individuals.
It’s an enticing proposition, isn’t it?
Pie-Room: A Culinary Delight in a Timeless Agency?
Imagine a room in the vast TVA complex dedicated solely to the delight of pies – and not just any pie, but pies available for the taking at any time. A place where you can just saunter in, pop open a designated locker, and behold! A slice of pie awaits, perennially fresh. For pie enthusiasts, this revelation can only be described as a bite of the proverbial American dream.
I was daydreaming of strutting down the halls of the TVA, after visiting 1982’s Broxton for a McDonald’s burger, to gorge myself on a big slice of apple pie.
The Bittersweet Reality of the Pie-Room
Alas, as with most things in the MCU, there’s always a catch. A sharp-eyed observation during the episode divulges a poster with a twist crueler than any villainous plot:
Only ONE pie slice a WEEK and you only get 17 minutes to eat it?
It’s a stingingly ironic regulation for an agency that operates outside of time and space. Granted, working for the TVA might mean adjusting to the odd quirks of Loki, including his constant hair-flips. But restricting pie consumption in such a merciless manner? It seems the TVA might be a little crusty after all.

Connecting the Dots: ‘Loki’ and ‘The Marvels’?
While the pie-room revelation was a delightful (and somewhat heartbreaking) detour, one can’t help but wonder if such narrative crumbs hint at larger connections within the MCU. Could there be a secret thread linking the tantalizing tales of ‘Loki‘ season 2 and the plot of ‘The Marvels’? Only time (and perhaps a few more slices of pie) will tell.
