Tesla Model X is among the best Electric Vehicles (EV) out there. Of late, a number of EVs are coming out. Audi (Audi eTron) and Jaguar (Jaguar I-PACE) have also released their own electric cars – but reports point out that Tesla’s Model X stands a cut above the rest!
A recent report indicates that when compared to the EVs from Jaguar and Audi, the Tesla Model X offers a much better winter highway efficiency. Let us take a closer look:
Tesla Model X Outperforms Audi and Jaguar EVs
Tesla Model X was compared against Audi eTron and Jaguar I-PACE when it comes to winter highway efficiency. This test was conducted by German rental company nextmove.
When driven at an average speed of 120km/h, Tesla offered the best energy efficiency. The car averaged at 24.8 kWh/100 km, as compared to the 30.5 kWh of the Audi eTron and Jaguar I-PACE’s 31.2 kWh/100 km.
Tesla Model X: The Most Energy Efficient EV?
Model X has outperformed rival EVs. However, this is an even more impressive feat when one considers the fact that Tesla Model X came out way back in 2012. Compared to that, the Audi eTron is yet to release for consumers and the Jaguar I-PACE came out in 2018. However, Model X can still beat these cars when it comes to energy efficiency.
Tesla’s core strength is energy management – an area where legacy carmakers are continuing to struggle. Tesla has changed the game with a more energy conscious approach in the world of automobiles!
