Mothers are true warriors because they can get past any problem and do it for the sake of their families. Alma, a mother of nine who raised them all by herself and taught them morals and ethics that would help them become better people in the future, is an example of this. And Mark Wahlberg was a great son who respected his mother until she died by living his life by the values she taught him.
A caring mother who was just like Wonder Woman.
Mark Wahlberg is an actor and a fan of sports, which shouldn’t be a surprise. After all, every successful man has a loving mother who cheers him on. Alma was a single parent with nine children. She was in charge of their care and food. She said that it was hard for her to raise her kids by herself, and there were times when she thought about giving up. But in spite of the problems she faced, she was able to do well and beat the odds.
Her kids thanked her in the future for pushing them to be better versions of themselves. She helped them do this by telling them to go after whatever they wanted. She was always there for her family, and she told everyone that her children had grown up to be good people who made a difference in the lives of others.
A true matriarch who made sure everyone stayed together.
Alma also said that even though she lived on the other side of the world from Mark Wahlberg, he would call her every day. Alma was the head of the family because she didn’t mind if he called at 3 a.m. She was in charge of keeping the family together and making sure they were close. Alma died in April 2021, which was a sad end to her life. Everyone in the family had a hard time accepting that she was no longer with them.
Mark said it was hard for him, and the rest of the family kept calling her to find out how they were doing in their efforts to stay positive. Even though it was hard and painful, in the end, they accepted it and understood that they couldn’t change it. He also said that his mother was an amazing person and that she was so proud of them, even though they had been through a lot of hard times but were still able to change their lives.
The selfless love and care of a mother can never fail to make a difference for the better.
Alma had her first child when she was 18. She had eight more children after that. She is reported to have said,
I wanted to give them the love that I always thought I wanted and never got. I wanted them to know I’m always there, always, always. I may not like what you’re telling me, but I’m there for you and that’s it. That’s how they all are now. They’re there for me.
Alma put in a lot of work to be the best she could be. When her children were young, she even made new dishes for them, like pizzas made with English muffins. She did everything she could to teach all of her children right from wrong and to treat others with respect. She freely admitted that it was hard to raise nine kids by herself, especially since each of them had a different personality and different things they were interested in. But she kept doing it anyway. And everything worked out well in the end.
The voice of a mother and her face makes will always be remembered.
Mark said that his mother had the ability to touch anyone’s heart and was a great source of inspiration. He also said that he was going to watch the interview that his mother had given so that he could see her face again.
At this point, the only things he has are the recordings and voicemails Alma has left for him, which he listens to quite often. He kept saying, with a lot of pride, that his mother was the definition of “hard work.” He explained in detail what his mother had to do on her own to keep the family’s finances in order.
People will always remember the love that was true.
After she died, the grief and sadness of her family could be felt all over the world. Through the posts they made on social media, Mark and Donnie Wahlberg showed Alma how thankful and loved they were. In these posts, they talked about all the good times they had with Alma while she was still there. It’s like she never left them in the first place.
Alma has died, but her legacy will live on as long as her children stick to the values and morals she taught them. Mark uprooted his family and moved them out of California so they could have a better life. Since his mother took care of him and loved him when he was young, he wants to be able to do the same for his own family.
From one generation to the next, both morals and love will be passed down.
He said,
To be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.
His family decided to start over somewhere else, so they picked up and moved. Mark says that his family is the most important thing in his life, and he thanks his wife for making him the person he is today.
Alma was a real Wonder Woman because the good things she did for her family outweighed the bad things she did. Mark will honor his mother’s memory by taking care of his family and getting to know each member of his household well.
