Jack Black has revealed that he will rejoin his School Of Rock co-stars to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the film.
Before she became a Nickelodeon megastar, Miranda Cosgrove appeared in the famous musical comedy, released on October 3, 2003, alongside Sarah Silverman, Joan Cusack, and Mike White.
‘We’re going to get together and celebrate our 20th anniversary. ‘We enjoy jamming,’ Jack Black told ET. ‘I’m excited to see all of the grownups from ‘School of Rock.’
The actor, 53, marveled at the idea that his co-stars, who were once children, are now fully grown adults.
‘All those kids were 10 years old when we did that movie, and now they’re all, like, 30,’ he said.
He claimed that the reunion would be chronicled on social media with video and images.
Back in 2013, the complete ensemble reassembled for a screening to commemorate the film’s tenth anniversary.
In 2019, there was a short School Of Rock reunion; however, Jack Black and many of the main cast members were not present.
Jack Black has always regarded School Of Rock as the “highlight” of his decades-long Hollywood career.
In a 2019 interview with GQ, the actor gushed that it is the picture he is “most proud of,” recalling his first table read with the ensemble.
‘It was nothing more than lightning in a bottle. It’s the only time I’ve felt compelled to do something,’ he explained.
In 2022, Jack Black told ET that working with the film’s youthful performers was one of his “best memories.”
‘My favorite recollections are of that group of youngsters and how funny and fantastic they were,’ added Jack Black .
School Of Rock follows eager guitarist Dewey Finn (Black), who is desperate for a job after being fired from his own rock band.
He then assumes the persona of his best buddy (White), a substitute teacher, in order to secure a teaching position at an upscale private elementary school.
Here, he has the brilliant idea of transforming his fourth-grade class into the rock band of his dreams to compete in the Battle Of The Bands and win the prize money.
The script was written by The White Lotus creator Mike White, and Boyhood filmmaker Richard Linklater directed the project.
Scott Rudin, the Academy Award-winning producer, produced the picture through Scott Rudin Productions.
Paramount Pictures distributed it.

According to IMDb, School Of Rock was filmed on a $35 million budget and grossed $81.2 million domestically and $131 million globally.
White revealed to Entertainment Weekly in 2003 that the picture might not have happened if Black had not agreed to play the lead.
‘If he hadn’t wanted to do it, I would have probably thrown away the script. ‘I wouldn’t want to see anyone else do it since just knowing him inspired me so much,’ he told the site.
Jack Black had previously appeared in White’s previous film, Orange County (2002), and was impressed by the picture’s “many different colors.”
‘I just got this image in my brain of him jamming with a bunch of tiny kids, and while I was sort of concerned about what the Paramount version of it may be, I couldn’t get the concept out of my head,’ he continued. So I simply wrote it.’
Caitlin Hale, Angelo Massagli, Brian Falduto, Joey Gaydos Jr., Rivkah Reyes, Aleisha Allen, Maryam Hassan, Zach Infante, Jordan-Claire Green, Robert Tsai, Veronica Afflerbach, and the late Kevin Clark were among the cast members.
Although many of the cast members have gone on to enjoy successful lives, both in and out of the spotlight, several have struggled over the years.
Gaydos had a string of legal issues throughout his twenties, including many arrests and a DUI in 2009.
The now-31-year-old guitarist was arrested four times in five weeks in 2019 for allegedly stealing guitars from Florida music businesses to fuel a drug habit. He was charged with grand theft and larceny.
Reyes, who uses the gender-neutral pronouns they/them, has since stated that their early celebrity from the film at the age of ten led to difficult adolescence and early adulthood riddled with bullying and, ultimately, addiction. They have been clean and sober since 2019.
The ensemble was handed a severe setback when it was reported that Clark died in May 2021 after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle in Chicago.
