Jake Gyllenhaal has taken the UFC world by storm and shocked fans with two brutal knockout win this week.
Gyllenhaal is known for his award-winning roles in movies like Donnie Darko and Brokeback Mountain. He is currently working on a remake of the cult classic action movie Road House, in which Patrick Swayze played a “cooler” at a fancy roadside bar.
In the new version, Gyllenhaal will replace Swayze, and his character will be changed to be a former UFC fighter.
Gyllenhaal, who is 42 years old, was in Nevada over the weekend filming scenes for his new movie at the UFC 285 arena. He shocked MMA fans with his ripped body.
At the weigh-in, he went up against one of his co-stars, hit him, and told Jon Anik that he was ready to win.
I can’t believe I trained six weeks for this s**t, to fight this piece of s**t. Just give me the belt now. C’mon, motherf**ker, let’s go,
Gyllenhaal yelled, clearly pumped up.
Fans were amazed as the actor then filmed a scene for the upcoming movie. He did a full walkout to the ring before entering the Octagon and winning a fake middleweight match with a knockout against Jay Hieron.
Hieron, who puts Harris in the new remake of Road House, was destroyed by Jake Gyllenhaal’s flying knee kick, which knocked him off his feet.
The fight was made up, but it was full of drama. When the referee tried to stop the fight, Gyllenhaal even pushed him away and continued to hit his opponent.
A lot of well-known UFC people, like announcer Bruce Buffer and MMA referee Chris Tognoni, helped make the fake fight look as real as possible.
Even UFC star Conor McGregor is going to be in the new movie. He will play the main bad guy.
The Irish mixed martial artist was seen with Gyllenhaal over the weekend. He used a microphone to get fans excited about the fight and get them all worked up.
Who’s ready for tomorrow night?
McGregor asked the already buzzing crowd.
We have the biggest fight in Road House history, Harris vs. Dalton, UFC 222. Everyone in this arena, you’re about to be part of my movie.
