Known for stepping into the boxing ring after his years of stints on YouTube, Jake Paul is now set to star in a sports combat movie. Jake, a YouTuber-turned-boxer, is also a successful social media influencer who will soon be seen as an actor and producer.
Jake Paul to Star in a Combat Sports Drama
Jake, known to have followed his elder brother, Logan Paul‘s footsteps into the boxing ring, will be heading onto a new path with acting. However, this wouldn’t be Jake’s first time facing the camera, as the 26-year-old was also seen in Disney’s original show, Bizaardvaak. He was seen playing the role of a fictional influencer alongside former Disney actor-turned-singer, Olivia Rodrigo. The news about his movie project was confirmed by Jake Paul on Twitter. It is also reported that Paul will not star in the movie but also be one of the executive producers of the film.

Jake’s new project will see him partnering with Mandalay Pictures’ production and Wonder Street’s entertainment company. The feature film requires Jake Paul to play a “small-town youth rising to international fame through combat sports”. The controversial YouTuber-turned-boxer is eager to start a “new chapter” of his career. He further added-

As reported by ESPN, Mandalay Pictures’ EVP, David Zelon showered praises for the 26-year-old.

It is certainly a big project that can turn Jake’s career around and garner him a lot of attention from movie lovers. Mandalay Pictures have also been involved in big projects like “Air” that starred Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in lead roles. Considering Jake’s successful boxing career, he wouldn’t need much training for stepping into the ring. However, he will be required to polish his acting skills to deliver a promising performance if he wishes to share screen space with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood someday.
Jake Paul’s Glorious Boxing Career
Ever since Paul decided to put on boxing gloves, the social media star has had a string of successful matches. His illustrious boxing career has been amplified with six pro boxing wins and he’s won four of them with knockouts. He has proven his boxing skills by facing two former UFC champions such as Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley.
Last February, Paul lost his first boxing match against English professional boxer Tommy Fury. Jake will be training hard to face Nate Diaz whom he’ll battle later this year in August. The boxing match between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz will take place in Dallas. The upcoming actor has also partnered with the Professional Fighters League and has big plans to compete in MMA. He is also the founder of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Betr. MVP has recently signed one of the best women’s boxers, Amanda Serrano and is looking to sign Ashton Sylve.
