Sixers’ veteran guard James Harden will leave the team this summer. The 33-year-old intends to play for some other team than the Philadelphia Sixers. Even though Harden has told his preferred destination, the Sixers are looking for better offers for him.
Damian Lillard started off by making a trade request to the Miami Heats, and James Harden followed by asking for a move to the Los Angeles Clippers. The Sixers are not happy with what the Clippers are offering for their guard and are listening to offers from other teams too. The Indiana Pacers have come up as the latest contenders to sign Harden. Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Philadelphia Sixers and the Indiana Pacers involving James Harden.
What would the Pacers offer for James Harden?
The Pacers can send Buddy Hield, TJ McConnell, Daniel Theis, and their top 5 protected first-round picks to the Sixers in exchange for James Harden. Generally, signing a player who has another team as his priority ends up pretty bad. Harden has the Clippers as his preferred destination. Are the Pacers ready to take this risk?

Why would the Pacers like to sign James Harden?
The Pacers have Haliburton. They can put him on the court with Harden and probably no duo would come close to them. The Pacers are not offering a lot, but it’s more than what Clippers can. There is no sense denying a veteran who is coming at that price. Haliburton and Harden might guard the Pacers to a title in the best-case scenario.

Why would the Sixers like to let James Harden go?
They don’t have a choice, do they? James Harden has nearly sworn to never wear the Sixers’ jersey again, he wants to move out, and they would have to let him go. They might not get what they expect in exchange for their guard, but whatever the Pacers are offering is better than the Clippers, and they are getting Field as well. Would they trade him against his will?
Harden wants to return to his birthplace and wear the Clippers’ colors. Would the Sixers allow him? Or will he be forced to join the Pacers? We’ll keep you updated.
