Foxx is also a popular stand-up comedian.
After being brought to the hospital, the Collateral star has now left fans concerned.
On April 11, the 55-year-old actor was admitted to the hospital for an undisclosed medical emergency.
According to TMZ, Foxx’s health was so critical that his family, some of whom were not in town, was forced to visit him in the hospital.
Corrine Foxx, the Robin Hood star’s daughter, has issued an update on her father’s health.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” the Instagram statement reads.
“Fortunately, he is already on his way to recovery thanks to quick action and excellent care.”
Corrine, who is also an actress, thanks fans for their thoughts and prayers before requesting privacy during this time.
According to TMZ, Foxx is ‘communicating now, and that’s wonderful news,’ implying that the Baby Driver actor was unable to communicate at some point owing to this undisclosed medical ailment.

There has been no more word on when Foxx will be released from the hospital as of this writing.

The Sleepless actor has been in Atlanta filming the next Netflix action-comedy, Back in Action, in which he co-stars with Cameron Diaz.
The film has been labeled Diaz’s Return, but it has been plagued by a series of setbacks since production began.
According to The Sun, Foxx had a “major meltdown” over some “issues on set,” and four production crew members were reportedly sacked.
Production on the film was also halted after an unexploded WWII-era bomb was discovered on the set, which is thought to be in London.
